About Us

People like quick, convenient, and easy meal options at festivals, sporting events and private parties. Hot dogs are a popular food for people of all ages and backgrounds. They are especially loved by sports fans, do-it-yourselfers, festival-goers, and families on the go, retirees and hungry errand-runners!

Matt and Becca met in 2013 and when they were dating he talked about how he worked at Home Depot in college and witnessed how much money it brought in per month—upwards of $20,000. We both had full-time jobs, but we wanted to start a side gig.

At the same time, Becca recently finished getting an MBA from Regis University and food trucks were just becoming popular, so she chose a hot dog cart business as her capstone project. A few years later, after getting married and having kids, Matt and Becca decided this would be a great side business for extra cash, and it turned out to be just that and so much more.

They searched for a really unique cart, and came across the coveted Willy Dog cart in Idaho. Matt rented a truck and drove to Idaho, made the investment, and came home with a cart shaped like a hot dog! They named the cart after thier Bull Terrier, Lake, who has passed away since then.

The logo and brand, influenced by our dog, Lake, was all-American and family-friendly. We wanted our business to be centered around our family. Shortly thereafter, our brand became well-known in our community. Now, we’re ready to teach others how to do it, too! Good luck with your new venture!
